In 2017, my life took a turn when illness prevented me from physically going into the office, leading to my reliance on remote work. Unfortunately, my employer didn’t permit remote work, so I have to take FMLA. This pivotal moment made me realize the need for change.
Being an executive/administrative assistant involves completing tasks promptly, anticipating needs, and contributing to team success. This aspect of the role resonated with me deeply. Discovering the world of virtual assistance became my passion. Despite my initial lack of knowledge, I founded Executive VA Solutions through research and resourcefulness. Balancing a full-time job and my virtual assistant venture, I served part-time clients and successfully completed my full-time job responsibilities , all while maintaining a steady income.
In 2019, I rebranding my business as King Collaborations, emphasizing collaboration’s importance in client success. By November 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, I took the bold step of quitting my day job to fully devote my time and attention to my business.
Being a virtual assistant allowed me to uncover hidden skills, pushing me to continually learn and adapt. I enjoy exploring diverse businesses, learning their intricacies, and providing tailored services. My passion for helping others, which was my driving force as an executive/administrative assistant, remains unwavering. Owning a virtual assistant business grants me the flexibility I desire while allowing me to continue making a positive impacts on others’ lives.
On a personal note, I cherish my marriage and my three daughters, along with my five precious grandchildren. My husband and I indulge in road trips and outdoor activities with our beloved dogs, Trouble Bubble and Rocco Taco. Cooking is my creative outlet, and I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen. During fall, I craft and sell homemade goodies like brittle, green chili, and salsa, using homegrown tomatoes and peppers from our garden.
I hope this glimpse into my life helps in your decision in choosing me as your virtual assistant.
Wishing you a beautiful day ahead!
